Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum jazz singer Diana Krall will be hitting the road next year for a Canadian tour, starting in Ontario and wrapping up at the Orpheum in Vancouver on April 22nd.
Born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Krall grew up in the western part of Canada and began studying the piano when she was four years old. By the time she was 15, she was performing jazz locally. A record-breaking musician, Diana Krall is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. Her albums have garnered two Grammy Awards, ten Juno awards and have earned nine Gold, three Platinum, and seven multi-Platinum status albums. Krall's unique artistry transcends any single musical style, making her one of the most recognizable artists of our time.
Her most recent release, This Dream Of You, has garnered critical acclaim from fans and press alike. The album's dozen tracks were selected from over 30 unused recordings previously laid down by Krall with her longtime producer Tommy LiPuma before his death in 2017. Shortly before LiPuma's passing, the producer and artist discussed the abundance of great music recorded during their last sessions together, with LiPuma adamant that it should be completed and issued. Completed in May 2020, this album is a loving conclusion of Diana’s 25-year working relationship with Tommy LiPuma.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 7th, at 10am local time. Set your alarms to make sure you don't miss out!
