Both BC Place and Science world will shine purple tonight to mark World Mental Health Day.
We all know people who struggle with depression, maybe you suffer from it yourself. One in four of us do, a quarter of us are affected at some point in our lives. But you don’t have to suffer alone. There is help. Seek out a doctor, tell a family memeber, the Fraser Health website has numbers for you to call if you need someone to talk to. You can find them here.
The bottom line is s:
It’s ok to worry about yourself
It’s ok to ask for help
It’s ok to talk
It’s ok to not be ok—there people to lean on.
Something to think about on World Mental Health Day
