131 years ago Vancouver welcomed Lord Stanley—the Governor General of Canada and same guy behind the Stanley Cup—to dedicate the park named in his honour. Today it’s Canada’s most beloved urban park, totaling 405-hectares and welcomes up to 8 million visitors every year. Larger than New York’s Central Park, it features the 10-k seawall that encircles the entire park with majestic views of mountains, sailboats, beaches, and forests with every turn. Stanley Park was named the ‘top park in the entire world’ by TripAdvisor, based on traveler’s reviews. Like a fine win, it always gets better with age.
