Logan Boulet was in his third season as a defenceman with the Humboldt Broncos when he died following a collision on April 6, 2018.
Sixteen players and staff were killed in the crash and 13 others were injured.
Just weeks prior to the crash, Logan told his parents of his desire to donate his organs.
Boulet’s gift helped save six lives and inspired an estimated 100,000 Canadians to register their intent to donate their organs.
Wear green this Sunday to keep the “Logan Boulet effect” alive and inspire more Canadians to become organ donors.
Ninety per cent of Canadians say they support organ donation, yet only 23 per cent are registered; meanwhile approximately 250 people die each year waiting for an organ.
